  1. Arranged by neighborhoods to save travel time:
Lower Manhattan: World Trade Center site; boat to Ellis Island/Statue of Liberty (same boat, one price, get off and explore, take a later boat onward, caution–waiting lines can be as long as two hours); stock exchange, Fraunces Tavern; China Town (eat at Wo Hop on Mott Street); South Street Seaport
Midtown: United Nations (gift shop is great for souvenirs, and no sales tax); theater district (many good restaurants on side streets); Rockefeller Center; FAO Schwartz (huge hands on toy store with ice cream parlor)
Uptown: Central Park and Zoo, Metropolitan Museum of Art
Way Uptown: The Cloisters (most beautiful spot in NYC and a very fine museum)
    Bronx: Zoo; botantical gardens
    Brooklyn: Coney Island; Aquarium
Queens: Bowne House (stop on underground railroad, good restaurants within two blocks); NY Hall of Science and adjoining zoo
Staten Island: Snug Harbor; Richmondtown Restoration (restored colonial village); Marchais Tibetan Museum (only Tibetan museum in the USA); Conference House (site of only peace conference during the Revolution, Adams and Franklin were among American reps)

  2. At sunset, ride the Stanton Island ferry across and back, past the Statue of Liberty.
There are loads of comedy clubs that kids can go in — though the comedy can get rather 18+, so if kids are as young as 14 they should be mature.
All the sports teams of course.

  3. the central park zoo, bronx zoo, planet hollywood in times square, see if you can find the naked cowboy, sight seeing bus and a great simple luch place is fine and schapieros in the west side. im not sure the streets but if u ask any decent person from the west sude they’ll kno! have fun.
