Is Madison Sqaure Gardens A Good Place To Stop When Visiting New York?
as its right by penn station does that mean things will be fairly easy to access… such as bloomingdales, macys, times square, empire state building, ground zero, broadway, madame taussads etc.. all the must see’s in new york.. in 5 days.?
Not a spectacular building, nevertheless good sporting events, and once in a while, a good musical performance. For all other tourist attractions, nonetheless, many subway stops Penn Station to take you somewhere else. What’s near the MSG is Macy’s, Empire State Building, Jacob Javits Center, Herald Square Shopping Mall, and if you are into art deco buildings, the US Post Office on Eight Avenue behind MSG.
I live in new york, and I recommend all those attractions. Just don’t forget Coney Island, Statue of Liberty, and Circle Line. Madison Square Garden is also a great place to stop. Just take the subway to all those places, I take the subway every day to school and I love it.
Just don’t spend too much time on them, and don’t forget to buy souvenirs!
Madison Square Garden is a large indoor sports arena. If you have tickets to an event, by all means go there. If you don’t have tickets, there’s not much to see from the outside. It sits on top of Penn Station, and there are some stores in the area, but nothing all that special.
I would recommend it. If you preferred to take a tour of The Garden, as we New Yorker like to call, you can give them a ring at the link below and inquire about their All Access Tour.http://www.thegarden.com/tour/all-access…
Good luck
