If You Drop A Ant From The Top Of The Empire State Building Would It Live?

yes it would, even considering the acceleration of gravity. you still have to factor in terminal velocity. The mass of the ant compared to its area and wind resistance would limit it’s speed during it’s fall. After approximately 10ft, it wouldn’t gain anymore speed. Quite possibly, with the wind, it would land several blocks away.

  1. I have no idea but my own opinion would be no. : )

  2. yes. wind will carry the ant horizontally cancelling the effect of gravity and touchdown on the ground like and airplane.

  3. no……it wuold accelerate at a speed of 9.8 m/s^2….therefore, hitting the ground at an extremely fast speed doing enough damage to kill the ant.

  4. empire ESTATE.
    Yes she would.
    but we have 2 problem,
    she would faint.
and she maybe would fall on another building.
+ she would probably kill u afterwards and u could go to jail :)

  5. you know the accelaration due to gravity is not dependent on mass i.e. allbody accelarates with the same accelaration when air resistance is neglected but in the ants case it is too light thus the accelaration is very less or practically negligible THUS IT WOULD LIVE.

  6. Yes it would because its a two dimensional creature and hight wont affect it.

  7. Sure but it might move to Jersey afterwards. :)

  8. yes due to air resistance and the weight of the ant it will survive. ants also have tough body skin to prevent damage after falling.

  9. It would probably live. They have a very tough exoskeleton made of chiton and FYI, EMPIRE STATE is correct, NOT ESTATE.

  10. no if it had sex right before
