1- In a right triangle, the measures of the legs are 20 and 3x, and the hypotenuse is 4x+1. Find the value of x.
2- The perimeter of an equilateral triangle is 15. Find the measure of the altitude.
3- A park ranger is in a look-out tower which is 105 ft. above the ground. He spots a fire that is 1/4 of a mile away at ground level. Find the angle of depression.
4- The observation deck of the Chrysler Building is on the 94 th floor, which is 920 ft. above the ground. The sky deck of the Empire State Building is on the 103 rd floor, which is 1125 ft from the ground. The Chrysler Building is 7/10 of a mile from the Empire State Building. What is the angle of Elevation?
1.) Answere: x= 7 (20^2 + (3X)^2 = (4x+1)^2)
2.) Answere: x=4.33 2.5^2 + x^2 = 25
3.) Answere x = 14.708 degrees tan(x) = (105/400)
4. Answere x = 10.37 degrees (same concept as number3)
